Hemmelig Rom
Translating to "Secret Room", the monolithic black form was constructed by hand by a team of creatives from different fields.
The foreboding exterior recedes into the surrounding forest during certain seasons and lighting conditions. A more welcoming experience lies within: a warm, silent interior library, constructed from 12,000lbs of red oak milled on the property. The massive volume of wood becomes a heatsink, storing energy from the single cast-iron stove to allow the temperature to self-regulate. Guests are invited to leave a private message in one of the 2,500 books on the shelves.
The Pledge of NRAllegiance
I wanted to highlight a different aspect of the gun control debate. Most of us know that, on average, there is one mass shooting in the U.S. per day. Which means it’s always time to shame the hundreds of congressman and senators who put the interests of the NRA over the safety of American citizens. These legislators have taken a different pledge of allegiance–to gun makers.
